Halloween

Well thanks to AMC Fearfest my favorite halloween movie of all time is on. The title is crazy it is called Halloween thats a mind blower isn't it. The movie has the most badass horror movie character of all time in it which is Michael Myers. They have made sequels after sequels of this movie and all of them are pretty good except season of the witch which has nothing to do with Michael Myers so it's completely stupid. The plot to these movies deal with michael myers trying to kill all remaining members of his family. He succeeds in halloween resurrection which is the final installment before the rob zombie remakes. The remakes are decent but they just aren't the same as john carpenters. Halloween isn't the only good horror movie though as I think A Nightmare on Elm Street especially the new one is a good franchise also. Friday the 13th is a decent franchise but a few of the movies are a little silly and they repeat themselves pretty bad. The hellraiser franchise is stupid I think and the SAW's got old after about number 3. Well that's I want to talk about for today so I'm done.

Basketball!

Well midnight madness is over which means pretty soon it's going to be time for Duke to start kicking some ass. The cryolina tar holes will stand about as much of a chance this year as they did last year losing by 32 points hahaha. While Duke lost All-American Jon Scheyer and Brian "Big Z" Zoubek along with Lance Thomas they look very strong this year returning two All-Americans and player of the year candidates Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith. They acquired Kyrie Irving with Coach K's amazing recruitment skills and he should make an immediate impact just like John Wall did for Kentucky last year. They return the massive and very athletic Plumlee Brothers and have one of the best 3 point shooters in the nation with Andre Dawkins. The eligibility of Seth Curry this year will just add more talent as he is Stephen Curry's younger brother and many people say he is better than Stephen. Coach K and the Cameron Crazies will look for another perfect home record in Cameron Indoor Stadium and they along with the rest of Duke Nation will be looking for a repeat of last years National Championship. So to quote the great Dick Vitale I must say, "It's basketball season baby the Dukies are on fiiiire". This year I will look for the plumlees dunks, Singler, Smith ,Curry, and Irvings instant offense, and dukes suffocating defense and lethal three point attack to lead them to yet another national championship.

Ummm

Well there is really nothing really exciting going on this week besides going to the haunted trail with my crew this weekend. Oktoberfest was legit and Johnny Rocked it! I loved being in the middle of about one hundred people right in front of the stage. I was deaf for about four hours after that concert. The food was pretty good but not as good as I remember but I guess that is because of my other activities. This blog is pretty much going to be random from here so hang on for the ride. First off I would like to say congratulations to Bobby Cox on an amazing managerial career you will be missed. Then I would like to say that hunting with your best friend who has never been before can pretty epic especially after running on three hours of sleep after the night of Oktoberfest. I would also like to point out that Arizona Sweet Tea is possibly one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life and three giant cans of it will wake you up. The new guitar hero is pretty sweet and has a lot better selection of music. Finally to keep it random I would like to leave you with my word of the day which is pickleweasel.

OKTOBERFEST!

Well pretty much the only exciting weekend that Steeleville has is coming up this Friday through Saturday night. In case you're wondering yes that is how you spell it, that is just the way they have always spelled it. It's a neat thing especially now because you get to catch up with all of your old buddies. Even the friends that have moved away usually come back for this because it is a Steeleville tradition. They have great food there in case you're wondering stop by the trap shooting booth for pig on a stick or the Christ our savior booth for taco in a bag. Both of those are amazing along with the caramel corn and lemon shake ups. There is always a big crowd especially this year since Johnny Rockitt is playing there. The Oktoberfest also features oppurtunities to have some fun more grown up style as most of the cops are at the party. So raise your cups and tp some old teachers trees because it is officially october.
